READING FOUNDATIONS STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Schedule Change for June

Mark Your Calendars:  Due to an unexpected meeting Ms.Sanders will not hold reading foundations on June 13th. You will have that entire day to close down your room for the summer. 
We will meet on JUNE 14 as scheduled.  Ms. Sanders has promised we will be finished before 4pm that day.

 ACTIVE BOARD INSTALLATIONS

Continued installation of active boards will occur on Monday, March 25 on the 100 floor and in room 302.
Rooms 20, 204, 206 & 208 are slated to have their installation mid-April.

Updated 3rd Quarter Report Card Timeline


  • March 27- 3rd Quarter Ends
  • April 10- K-2 report cards due to assigned administrator for review.
  • April 10- Grades 3-5 class lists are due to Mrs. Dubose.  She will lock the system at 3:00pm and grades cannot be changed.
  • Reports will be printed and given to the assigned administrator by April 12th.
  • April 15- All report cards will be returned to teachers to be sent home
  • April 16- Report cards will be sent home in the Tuesday packet.

Mrs. Choplin will review grades  K, 1 & 3
Mrs. Stewart will review grades 2, 4, & 5

STUDENTS NEED TO USE CALCULATORS!!

Remember all students in grades 3-5 need to feel CONFIDENT in using calculators.  Calculators should be incorporated into daily mathematics lessons.

UPDATES/REMINDERS
  • AG teacher meeting has been changed to April 15th at 3:00 pm in Media Center.
  • Deadline for teacher intent forms is Wednesday, March 20 at 4:00pm.
  • Leaving early for Easter holiday.   Next week everyone may leave 30 minutes early March 27 & 28.  Classified employees may leave early on March 26 & March 27. This time will not carry over.
  • ILT meeting for this Thursday will be cancelled.

mason jar salad recipes for a week

Mason Jar Pasta Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
2 oz Italian dressing
1/4 Cup Onions, chopped
1/2 Green pepper, chopped
1/2 Red pepper, chopped
1/4 Cup Black Olives, sliced
Pepperoni to your liking
2 oz Cooked pasta, drained-cook al dente and rinse with cold water after draining.
Put 2 oz Italian dressing on bottom of mason jar. Next add onions, green pepper, red pepper and black olives (in that order). Add pepperoni and top with cooked pasta. Seal the lid and store in fridge for up to 7 days. When ready to eat just shake the jar and enjoy!

  • Powerteacher (new NCWISE system) will be rolling out for teachers in the next few days. All teachers will receive emails requesting they log into the system.  Do not delete this email.  Mrs. Dubose will be glad to assist you if you have questions.
  • If any grade level is interested in the bring your own learning device to school please let Mrs. Choplin know by Wednesday.
