What is going on in Science Enrichment with Mr. D?
Kindergarten: The children are learning the difference between moving fast and slow. They are connecting these concepts with animal movements.
First Grade: The first graders are learning about how the
elements (air, water, soil, sun, fire) effect the earth?
Second Grade: The
second graders are “tracking” the direction of the wind. They are also learning how to use a compass
and what the cardinal directions are. This
will lead into making wind instruments for the purpose of studying weather.
Third Grade: Third graders are answering the question- What is a
constellation? They are acting out myths related to the constellations and creating constellations using marshmallows and toothpicks.
Fourth Grade: Let's dig in the Fossil Pile!
Fifth Grade: The students are designing a catapult and learning about the force and motion of a it.
